Dong Eui Bo Gam was first published in 1613 by the legendary Korean doctor named Heo Jun. It became the key reference for medical works in Korea, China and Japan. This book gained accolade as a magical book of medicine. Dong Eui Bo Gam was divided into five sections. The five sections contain Naegyeongpyeon (internal medicine), Oehyeongpyeon (external medicine), Japbyeongpyeon (miscellaneous diseases), Tangaekpyeon (Remedies) and Chimgupyeon (Acupunture). Naegyeongpyeon deals with physiological function and disorders of internal organs. Oehyeongpyeon deals with function of visible parts of human body such as skins, muscles, blood vessels, tendons and bones. Japbyeongpyeon deals with various of illnesses and disorders. Tangaekpyeon discusses the way to create remedies and potions using medicinal herbs and plants. Finally, Chimgupyeon shows the procedure of using acupuncture to cure various disorders and diseases.
